I loved the story and can't wait for the next ones!Full video review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2EF61gaapo. This game sat in my Library as I waited for its continuation... which leads me to my negative review. Although I enjoyed what I played, I really can’t recommend this game until “Act 2” comes along. There were a lot of positives, including the atmosphere, humorous dialogue, a good story with fairly good characters, cool surreal dream sequences, and the Shove Ha'Penny mini-game that (I guess since it was tweaked) was a lot of fun. The negatives though outweighed all those for me. The control was very fiddly and picky, so you had to repeat a lot of actions/dialogue because you didn’t click the precise pixel. Also the timing of the arm wrestling was really irritating, much more than the ha’penny game. I could overlook all that but not the frustration of being left hanging without any resolution of the plot - especially since it’s a murder mystery! So as interesting as it was, it became just a pointless time-waster.. I streamed this game for I Need Diverse Games. The community was really taken by the storyline. I loved the setting, and also how the game leaves you wanting to know more! I can't wait until the next Act gets funded!. I wasn't expecting this to try to be a wacky comedy given the game's name, store page description, and subject matter involving a brutally murdered prostitute, and I think going in that direction was a mistake. The setting and graphics made me think of the two The Last Door games, which are strange games but play the dark subject matter straight and are far better games than this. This one goes from having an off tone to going completely off the rails towards the end with a transgender plotline that is totally out of place, plus, for good measure, a randomly inserted fight against racism, and then a confrontation with a crime boss who's a small child for no reason I could see. There are a couple times where your character has strange dreams with a talking fish. That tangent ends up going nowhere, and in retrospect just ends up seeming like an attempt to pad a story that's thin in this first act. Really not a lot happens storywise before the sudden ending on a cliffhanger.. It was a good 2 hours. I was engroseed, and besides a few weird design quirks and weird puzzles, I was really enjoying the time I spent with this game. Then it ended. And I was underwhelmed by the amount of content. 2.5 hours of content is stretching it, really. Not a bad experience, but $5 or less is a more realistic price point, at least at this point. Maybe when there are more acts, but not right now; not at this price point.. Delightful point and click adventure, manages to feel classic and modern at the same time.Great art, interesting setting and puzzles of exactly the right difficulty.Oh, and awesome dream sequences - they deserve to be mentioned separately.. I have to say that I was honestly pleasantly surprised by this little gem. The story and characters were very well-written especially as far as indie developments go in the Point and Click department. I cannot wait for Act Two, I'm really so happy with this one. I enjoyed it far more than I thought I would. I hope to see more games from Brainchild! The main character Sydney was lovely to play as, and the other characters had their own charms with vivid dialogue. I'm so glad to read a conversation that does sound like real people talking. All in all entertaining!Aiming to get a cute li'l glowing koi fish emoticon.. This game has a great story. the story does very smooth.AND IT'S very fun to play, you won't stop playing it untill you find the TRUTH!!!!
