I started playing about a week ago in light of the announcement of the sequel and I can't stop playing since. It's been a long time since I put 30 hours into a game in a single week.It's a bit dated for sure. The mechanics and animations aren't perfect, and the late-game is very combat heavy, but with the unofficial patch (+ version) that can be fixed. Abundant mods for this game make it infinitely replayable, though I do admit it's a bit of a challenge to get some working. Once you do though, your efforts are greatly rewarded.All in all, play it with exclusively the unofficial patch and some updated textures and models for your first playthrough, give yourself time to understand the character building mechanics, and you will seriously enjoy this game. Easily going in my top 10.. Despite some bugs and some dead ends in the writing because it was rushed its still a very good RPG where there are several different ways to go through the game. +great classic+good story+good soundtrack+nice atmosphere and humor-buggy (community mods are recommended)-dated -the further you get in the game the more you are pushed in 1 direction
